We had a very nice stay at Ilmajärvi cottage. The cottage, which is in a perfect condition and has all the necessary amenities, is located in an idyllic spot near the lake. Our host was also very helpful and friendly. We will definitely come again.

This is also reflected in the perfectionism how the fire wood is stacked in the wood hut as well in the road signs of the cottage. –> easy to find. +the pictures of the cottage cannot reflect the beauty of that cottage+ location –> you have to experience by yourself.

Great place for a relaxing vacation. Cottage is just like described. Sauna works very well! Lake is nice for fishing. Cottage had no running water, like told, but that was not a problem. There is spring close by with a car. View to the lake is very beautiful. Owner is easy to get hold of if there would be any problems.

Nice cottage with a well equipped kitchen. The sofas turn nicely into double beds. Sauna is in the same building, toilet is a few meters away in the backyard. spending our holidays in cottage Ilmajärvi from 13.8-16.8.20, were very lucky with the weather. It was warm and we were able to enjoy all the charms of nature. We ate blueberries, collected a lot of mushrooms and cooked fried fries with chanterelles, mushroom sauce and mushroom soup. And in final we caught a pike of 1.5 kg, which was already cooked and eaten at home. Every day in this place was a pleasure, the view straight from home is chic 😍

The owner is friendly and has always been in touch if there were questions.

Relaxed in august at Simpelejärvi lake for two days, very beautiful nature, the perfect place to relax with the whole family from the city bustle!

Our family consists of five people, mother, dad and three children! The most important was where the children will sleep, but it was not a problem, on the second floor there is a separate room for children, just 3 bedrooms, two regular beds for 7 and 3-year-old children just, comfortable and nice to sleep! Well, for a young child of a year, there is a cot! Everyone was accommodated without problems, even two sleeping places remained! Fresh air, forest, mushrooms, berries, just to relax from the city bustle! Fishing, grilling, just what you need for rest! Our family really liked it, next year we will come again!

I would say that we had a great weekend. We have never had the experience of using a fireplace. Although it took us a lot of time to study how to make a fire, the fireplace finally warmed the whole cottage and made us feel warm and cozy. Moreover, I really like those glass cups and the entire tableware display cabinet, which is useful and gorgeous. When it comes to outside the house, I feel that we have privately owned the entire forest and lake, which is very quiet and relaxing. The equipment of the barbecue house is also very complete. The benches on the pier are great for taking pictures! In short, a house with a magical appearance will not disappoint visitors!   —

A completely fabulous place! And it’s not only in a beautiful location – a view of the lake🥰 – it’s feebaack! (Kirill helped us in every detail). The house itself is wonderful: everything is very clean, pretty, made with love. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Just wonderful. (The only disadvantage is that you need to take your own bed linen and towels) and in general the most positive impressions of such a holiday! Even for children everything is provided, 🌿

We spent New Year at Ilmajarvi cottage. The cottage was wonderful and cozy, and the courtyard was really beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves very well. Everything worked brilliantly, and Kirill was a great host. He was constantly accessible and helped with everything if there was a need. Besides, he’s really friendly. There was really good room in the cottage, and the place was wonderful anyway. We would have enjoyed much longer. I’m sure we’ll rent the cottage again. Thank you very much Kirill.

Very fishy lake, we’ve got a cabin there

Great place, have been there a few times. There are all conditions both for “vegetable” rest and for active. There’s a big pier on the shore of the lake to gather at the table by a large company, or if the weather is spoiled – in a large grill house. Convenient location from the border. You can drive within a few hours from Saint Petersburg,  the border is not the busiest and sometimes you can pass it in 15 minutes. On the side of the Russian border, there is not bad duty-free shop with alcohol, and rights on the Finnish side good supermarkets (Disas works even on weekends). Highly recommend!

Amazing place, always happy to come with a family. Relax alone with nature, without noisy neighbors. All-day you can walk and enjoy the forest, sail on the lake. You can see forest inhabitants who are not very afraid of people because they do not know them. In the evening it is so good to eat grilled fish, sitting on the shore of the lake and watching the indescribable beauty of sunsets! In autumn so much thrill for berries and mushroom lovers, wood gifts are in huge abundance.

Great cottage with all amenities right on the shore of the beautiful lake Ilmajarvi. There’s a pleasant and very cosy interior inside. The owner sends very convenient instructions, obtaining key and information at the highest level. I advise you to visit the website as well, it has a lot of useful information. Nature, silence, comfort, fishing, it’s wonderful in summer and you can have a great holiday in winter. We like it very much.

Cozy cottage with great lake views! We've been in the cottage with 4 adults, 
a 10 year old boy and a baby. There was plenty of space and there was plenty 
to do for everyone. As a parent, I am very pleased that in the cottage we found
a travel cot, highchair, potty and toys as well as outside the sandbox and
various swings. My family enjoyed swimming, fishing and jumping on the trampoline.
The cottage really has all the amenities. The kitchen is well equipped and 
the grill house has a variety of barbecue facilities. The price also included 
WiFi, which our family did not test, because the good weather pulled us out and 
there was nothing to cook inside. Communicating with the owner went really easily and
effortlessly on what's app. Kirill advised us on the best fishing spots and gave tips
though and where. Definitely will come again! Maybe already in the fall, in the
berry and mushroom time. Thank you!

We liked literally everything. We did not look for defects, but they did not appear. We were surprised by the designed configuration of the house. There ‘s really EVERYTHING out there. The most important thing is that there are absolute silence and tranquility. We liked very the wooden style of the house, separate building for a barbecue, illumination of the territory. Overall, it feels like you ‘re in a winter tale. we were lucky with the snow.

The sauna only warmed up to 90, we, as sauna lovers, wanted a little more. But that ‘s not critical.

Great location, the house is in a secluded area. There was no one around, apparently a few kilometres away. There’s a lot of places to walk. If there was more snow this year, it would be fabulous at all. Surprised that such a quiet place is only 30 kilometres from the border. The house is equipped with everything necessary for life. Large fridge with freezer, dishwasher with drying, energy-saving fireplace, electric sauna, stove with oven. There’s a nice terrace on the shore with a grill house, but it was not used because it was cold and lazy:)
Overall everything was very good. To the ideal, there is a lack of heating of floors in the bathroom and tambour.

rested 2 days, from Sat to Sun Excellent location, close to the border. And a great forest !! Were in many places, then here is the best. There are no windbreaks, there are lowlands and elevations, walking is easy and pleasant. There should be a lot of mushrooms in the season. We were on September 07-08, they were just beginning. Beautiful lake. The owner went to the meeting and we were able to check in earlier, and all the time we were in touch.

Stunning cozy home with very comfortable facilities. We rested in five in January, plenty of space. The lake was perfect for ice skating, an unforgettable experience. Not far from the border. Very helpful host, always in touch. Thank you, Cyril! Hopefully I will be able to return here again.

Great place, incredibly quiet and beautiful. It was in January 2019, a winter fairy tale 🙂 The house is very cozy, beautifully decorated, everything you need is there and it works perfectly. I really liked how the stove keeps heat, you can safely stop drowning in the evening and it will be warm for another whole day 🙂 it was -20 outside.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to relax in a cozy house located in a picturesque place. Any little thing here is perfectly thought out and organized with love. The lake, pines, mushrooms – I did not want to leave.

Good afternoon. I wanted to leave a review about the rest in IImajarvi Cottage. We rested for 5 days, from August 26 to 30. Insanely beautiful nature, very comfortable accommodation, the house has everything you need and even much more. All appliances, a sauna are at guests’ disposal, everything works, everywhere is very clean. There is a veranda where you can sit perfectly for breakfast or dinner. If the weather permits, literally on the pier, on the lake, there is another large table at which you can sit with the company. Many thanks to the owner for the constant communication, everything can be asked in the process) Near the house a large number of mushrooms and berries. Great stay !!!

Wonderful cottage, large terraces and beautiful scenery, children also taken into consideration, there is a trampoline, swings etc, the rowing boat too!

They lived in late October / early November. What I really liked was the absolute silence! Nobody around, only birds and squirrels! Nice solid cottage, great fireplace, own pier, nature. From Imatra 40 minutes. The house is cozy and warm, all the dishes are, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and so on. we were 3 adults and 2 children + a dog, there was enough space for everyone. TV with a bunch of Russian channels, smart wi-fi. Vobschem I recommend!

Beautiful lake, nature, silence. And a very cozy cottage with a well-equipped area – a pier, benches, a grill house. Everything is done with taste, neatly inscribed in the landscape. It can be seen how much labor and care has been invested in home improvement, maintaining comfort, cleanliness, and order. We had a wonderful rest in the company of tits, squirrels, ceramic fish collections and magnificent northern nature!

A wonderful place, a pleasant atmospheric house, all the amenities that were declared are present in full, my husband and I had a great time) We caught a few fish, but we had enough to try, ate mushrooms, took them home, slept, went boating. The house is small, but functional, the instruction is literally for all amenities, very simple. I definitely recommend it!

A beautiful place, a cozy, interesting house for true connoisseurs of fishing, all the amenities, we spent a week with pleasure. In the yard there are darts and a basketball hoop, a super-cute grill house and a fireplace in it, a boat. In bad weather and in the evenings you can comfortably sit in front of the TV or play dominoes, there is Russian satellite TV, very fast Internet. Friendly, caring owner!

Loved the place. House, lake, garden furniture, pier, playground. Very comfortable and relaxed. Convenient check-in system, which allows not to negotiate with the owner for the exact time, which compares favorably with many other private houses. They took a dog with them on vacation, it’s good that the owner allows.

I liked literally everything. Easy to get, the keys in a small safe on the door with the code that the owner sent before arrival, along with all the instructions and tips. If you are with children, then in general it’s super, a trampoline, a sandbox, a swing, a basketball backboard, etc., children will have something to do. In the kitchen there is enough, there is salt, sugar, vegetable oil. We really want to come back here for a week with my grandchildren, we highly recommend :))))))

Rested on the weekend. March 8 . Cyril is always in touch. Quickly answers all questions. I wrote everything in advance and in detail – how to get into the house, how to get to the house. Excellent fireplace – it keeps the heat really for 48 hours. The house has all the conditions for a comfortable stay. For a small child provided a cot, a chair for feeding, a potty. The house is warm. A lot of board games. Nature is a fairy tale. Got a complete Relax.

Wonderful location for a quiet family vacation. Nearby is only a forest and a lake. We celebrated the New Year as in the lands of Santa Claus – waist-deep snow, trees like in a fairy tale, silence and fluffy snow. If you carefully read all the instructions compiled by the owner, then there should be no problems with living in the house (heating, sauna, hot water, television). Lovely house in the woods on the lake for a secluded holiday. A thorough approach is felt throughout. For the entire time of rest there was a feeling of home comfort. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail: matches, sugar, salt, sponges, rags, mosquito repellents, butter in the sauna and superb bamboo brooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary, there is a dishwasher, washing machine. Large isolated area. Trampoline for children, darts and basketball hoop. There is also a pier, a house grill and a boat, life jackets. The house was quickly found on the maps.me application where it is indicated on the map. TV with tricolor TV – respectively, the mass of Russian channels. Wonderful fireplace – after heating it kept warm for a long time. We also have to pay tribute to the owner – Cyril, who was always in touch and quickly connected if necessary.

Nature, quiet, calm. Very nice lake near the house, there is a boat. A very interesting and comfortable grill for any weather. Even weather played in our favor, it was 12-15 degrees during our vacation, which in my opinion is simply a gift after the Israeli heat. We really loved everything

We lived a week in early February (two adults and a child of 7 years old) – the house is very comfortable, clean, it stands in a great location in the forest. Everything is like in a fairy tale. We were lucky with the weather, it was freezing, first -3C, then -16C .. the house was equally warm and comfortable. The child jumped in snowdrifts and sledded in the snow down the path to the lake. From the kitchen from the window you can admire the beauty of nature, the view is wonderful! Tits are jumping outside the window, very COZY, especially during breakfast. Squirrels came running at the end of the rest – the first days there was heavy snowfall, and they were apparently hiding. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, dishes, appliances and even board games. Great sauna! The beds are very comfortable, the pillows are also (which is equally important) and the comforters are comfortable. The batteries are very warm in all rooms. They heated the stove / fireplace, for comfort :), it warms up very quickly. The house is located at the end of a branch of a forest road, around no one .. it feels like this is a magical place and nature is entirely in your property. We went to large supermarkets for groceries, 30 minutes on the beautiful road. Near two water parks, in the same place. There was a lot of snow, it was falling daily in large quantities, but the snowplow cleaned everything wonderfully – the service is at its best. Most of all I liked to relax at home and walk around the forest paths and admire nature. At night, the sky is strewn with stars. I really wanted to stay there for a longer time, and indeed do not leave anywhere 🙂 Be sure to return in the summer! The apartments had everything necessary for a comfortable stay of 6 people. Convenient kitchen with a kettle, electric stove, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher. in the cupboards there was coffee, cocoa, tea, various spices, oils, cutlery in large quantities, various shovels, ladles, pots, pans, openers, a corkscrew and similar things useful for living. Everything fit perfectly at the table, enough chairs. Comfortable bedrooms and beds, a chic view in the morning from the windows. There are no complaints to the bathroom, everything is clean, there was a supply of everything there needed (there were even personal hygiene products for girls). The sauna corresponded to the description, it was heated to 90 degrees in 1.5-2 hours, in the 6th it would be problematic to steam, but for the three most, there was also scented sauna oil and disposable bedding. The fireplace warmed up beautifully and quickly, the house was warm on two floors, no one was cold (if you suddenly like a lot of heat, the temperature of the radiators is regulated). It is worth noting the excellent location of the cottage, around silence and tranquility, around the forest and a large lake. We also really liked the grill house, there is everything you need for frying and a little more. Be sure to recommend a boat ride on the lake, an unforgettable experience, you can explore the forest around and enjoy the scenery. We were very lucky and upon arrival, a little snow fell and everything looked doubly beautiful. Nearby there is a playground, although we all have been with the company for 20 years, this did not stop us from swinging on the rock =) If you travel with small children, then the cottage has a small cot for the baby. Very easy access to the house by code and everything that is there.

The cabin was clean, well equipped and in a great location. The contact with the renter worked great! A separate beach sauna would be good!
